DevOps Engineer | 8 to 11 Yrs |
Technical Skills Required
Mandatory:
- Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, and Bamboo for building, testing, and deploying applications.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Amazon ECS, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for containerization and orchestration of microservices architecture.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies such as blue-green deployments and canary releases.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for building and managing cloud-native applications.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk, and Datadog for ensuring the health and performance of systems.
- Proficient in Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket for version control and collaboration in distributed development environments.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, and PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management tasks.
- Experience with SaltStack, AWS OpsWorks, and Puppet Enterprise for maintaining consistent configuration across environments.
- Deep understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Expertise in infrastructure automation and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability best practices.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve release cycles.
- Implement infrastructure as code practices to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently.
- Configure and maintain container orchestration platforms for deploying and scaling applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards across infrastructure and applications.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to optimize DevOps processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents as needed
- Efficient reporting and communication skills Mentoring new team members.
- The ability to work on multiple projects and set priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team and management.
- Carry out Root cause Analysis to avoid similar issue to occur.
